PGI and Bluefin Cyber Crime Seminar Aims to Boost ...

On May 24, cyber security experts from PGI, law enforcement and legal services will come together to deliver a free, one-off seminar to provide regional businesses valuable insight into the cyber threat to small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

The event is being hosted at PGI’s state of the art world leading Cyber Academy in Bristol, demand for places is high with over 80 regional SMEs confirming their attendance.

Government figures have revealed that 74% of small businesses have suffered from a cyber security breach over the course of the last year. This figure underlines just how important the issue is to the nation’s businesses. With the cyber threat set to continue to rise the need to educate the workforce has never been greater.

If you’re a small business owner or someone who is on the frontline of the fight against cybercrime why not come along? The event begins at 09:30am and will see a range of cyber security experts give talks on the issues faced by SMEs.

The cyber crime seminar will focus on three main areas of discussion –

·         The kinds of cyber risks that SMEs are vulnerable to

·         The impacts of a cyber attack

·         How to mitigate the risks.

PGI are also giving each attendee a voucher which entitles them to £100 off Cyber Essentials certification through their Cyber Services Portal. Terms and conditions apply*.
